10 Amazing DIY Face Masks for Naturally Glowing Skin

10 Amazing DIY Face Masks for Naturally Glowing Skin

Many different things can make our skin appear dull, oily, or itchy. Pollutants in the air, UV light, makeup toxins, and harsh chemicals, just to name a few. And just like the cold winds of winter, summer can be just as troublesome for the quality of your skin. And in this hectic age of running hither and thither at a frantic pace, it is becoming increasingly difficult to care for the overall health of your skin. We do not have the time to stop at a salon for skincare products, facials, or a cosmetic skin treatment each week. We have got stuff to do!

Why Your Skin Becomes Dull, Tired, and Lifeless

As stated before, many different factors lead to skin that appears devoid of color and luminance. So many that it is difficult to see exactly which elements collaborate to damage your skin’s health. We have taken a moment to narrow down the field to some of the worst culprits:

  1. Skin Hydration

It is no secret that our bodies crave water. We are made almost entirely of it! And on a hot summer day, your skin needs water in abundance! Drinking water flushes away toxins from your body and keeps you and your skin operating in top shape. Regularly staying hydrated is known to reduce the onset of fine lines and crow’s feet while keeping your pores clear of contaminants.

2.      Not Using Enough Sunscreen

The sun is a giant flaming ball of superheated gas, after all. UV radiation is extremely damaging to skin cells. Staying out of the sun as much as possible while using plenty of SPF-specific sunscreens is an absolute must for maintaining the beauty of your skin.

3.      Exfoliating Too Much or Not Enough

Summer always brings with it hot temperatures and soggy humidity levels. These factors can cause your skin to sweat more and thus produce more oils. This oil clogs pores and causes acne and breakouts. To combat this, you will want to exfoliate your face once a week to unclog pores, remove dead skin, and restore your natural luster. But do not overdo it! Once a week should be sufficient.
